Dr. Amofa Kennedy has gained 12 years of technology system management and leadership experience at IBM global manufacturing in Rochester, Minnesota. He has acquired deep technical understanding of systems, database, networking, and governing complex computing environment. He has demonstrated profound knowledge of business processes with great aptitude of integrating new emerging technologies to strategic planning and management. He is dedicated and committed to be successful in a more challenging and dynamic working environment. He has led many IT projects from idea conception and prototyping to the final products ready for the global market. He was a key player in the IBM smarter planet campaign and the Community Grid Computing.
With his new career in Higher Education as an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University, Dr. Amofa teaches courses in the Master of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis on Industrial and Organizational Psychology (effective leadership and consultation). He has conducted advanced research studies in web analytics, business process optimization, and the development of new leadership models to meet the challenges of the 21st century global business environment. He has attained proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills to create value in the course room for students’ success. He has exhibited profound expertise in effective consulting and organizational management strategies for both the academia and consulting practices. He currently serves on GCU Faculty Advisory Board to help faculty members to attain personal and professional development to meet the challenges of the 21st century academic environment
As a business owner, Dr. Amofa manages an insurance and financial agency with five employees. He was nominated the best Career Agent of the year 2012 & 2013 and he has been awarded the Championship Farmers Insurance Award for the year 2013. He has created sustainable business models, systems, processes, and strategic planning initiatives to attain organic growth.
For his educational background, Dr Amofa has earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Organization and Management form Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2013. The title of his dissertation is Management Consultant’s Acceptance of Technology: An Empirical Study of the Determinants of Web Analytics Technology Acceptance. In 2009, he had his Master of Sciences in Business Administration (MBA) from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his thesis topic is Sustaining Growth and Innovation at IBM Global Manufacturing. In 2006, he finished my Associate of Sciences in Computer Information Systems from Rochester Technical and Community College, Rochester, Minnesota. In 1997, he had his Bachelor of Arts in French and Linguistics form
University of Ghana, Accra, Ghana. As a scholar practitioner, Dr. Amofa is highly experienced to develop processes and systems to create value with any given visionary ideas and concepts.
